HOW TO WRITE AN IMPACTFUL C-SUITE / CXO RESUME (PART-1)

People frequently misjudge C-suite professionals as having an easy life, thinking that they relax while everyone else works hard. C-suite executives work harder than anyone, with 10x times the stress, because their jobs are quite taxing. They have everything dependent on their shoulders.

If a C-suite’s resume doesn’t show their high-level deliverables and impact, employers will view them as a liability.

Here are a few pointers that make a difference in a C-suite resume:

✒️Use the right format, which has sections neatly labelled and is not more than 2-3 pages long.

✒️Use a professional font, margins, and font size. Ensure correct use of white space for readability.

✒️. The work experience should be written like a trophy case of corporate accomplishments.

✒️You need to catch the employer’s eye first few seconds with a clean resume format that conveys your key points fast.

✒️Draft your professional summary as a quick elevator pitch of your best features at the top of your C-suite resume.

For example

?An adjective (resourceful, engaging)

?Job title (CEO, COO, CFO, CIO, CMO, CHRO, CTO, CISO, CDO, VP, DIRECTOR, and other C-level positions.))

Years of experience (20+)

?How and whom you have impacted (raised earnings by 35% at Google Inc’s tech function…)

?Your top leadership achievements (acquired 4 key clients raising revenues from $28M to $62M…)

?Some most sought-after HARD skills (organizational restructuring, product development, business strategy, budgeting, policy deployment, product launch …)
