I have always been eager to help others and hence would pounce-on with my 2 cents, whenever I saw an opportunity.
BUT I soon realized that as a leader, coach, mentor one smart way to communicate with others is to wait and hold back my idea or thoughts allowing others to first figure out and argue back and forth, while I side-line myself and watch.
I almost always ended up observing how they come to a not so satisfying solution and then add my thoughts to the mix.
Watching people do this brings about additional lessons and shows your leadership communication style as a collaborator rather than an instructor.
