WHAT RECRUITERS DON’T WANT TO SEE ON YOUR RESUME (PART 2)

? They do not want to see empty and poorly managed LinkedIn profiles. More than one-third of the recruiters are looking at your LinkedIn profiles to filter candidates.

? They do not want to see resumes written in the first person. Make it much more action-oriented and start the sentence with an action word instead of I am responsible for… or I handled/managed…

? They do not want to see your duties listed. Instead, focus on results you have achieved, how you increased revenues, cut costs, or how you played a key role in improving productivity.

? They do not want to see your work email address or a cute email ID. Always leave a personal email address that has your real name, rather than your ‘cute’ email address or work email address.

? They do not want to see a one-size-fits-all resume. Remember that each recruiter is looking for a resume that matches their company profile and the skillset for a particular position.

? They do not want to see Word Header or Footer feature. Some scanning software cannot read this header or footer, so your resume ends up missing important information or being anonymous.
