Résumé guidelines are not plain black and white and so is the answer to this question.
While some countries have strict rules against a picture on the Résumé like the UK, Ireland, Canada, and the US due to its strict anti-discrimination and labour laws. Other countries have not specified anything on these lines.
What I suggest you do is:
? Avoid a picture unless you are applying for a front-facing role.
? Share a picture only if the company asks for it.
? Images are not Application Tracking System (ATS) friendly.
? You may add to Résumé a LinkedIn profile link that contains your professional headshot.
? Walk-in Interviews usually ask for a Résumé with a picture so that the recruiters won’t forget you or confuse you with another applicant.
? Your best bet is to keep a Résumé with a picture and one without a picture and use it as needed.
On the contrary, a Résumé with a picture psychological lets employers connect the sheet of paper with a living and breathing human being.
