Further to my last post, here are a few more pointers that make a difference in a C-suite resume:
✒️Draw attention to the fact that you are a continuous learner with upskilling certifications and executive education.
✒️Show how you are a clocking professional engagement outside of work with forums, seminars, conferences, speaking opportunities, publications, etc.
✒️Use a separate key achievements section to highlight your successes across your career journey.
✒️You need to catch the employer’s eye first few seconds with a clean resume format that conveys your key points fast.
✒️Place your business titles on top of each entry, followed by dates.
✒️ Use power verbs (e.g., accelerated, established, prospected, acquired, mapped, screened, etc.) to begin each bullet point entry.
✒️ Since you mostly will have accomplished a lot in your tenure, remember to cut the unrelated matter and tailor your resume to the target role.
✒️ Volunteering and CSR show passion beyond your job & salary.
✒️ Don’t forget to use a cover letter with a powerful introduction.
