While it’s very important to do internships when you are at the university, I have seen students go overboard with the number of internships they have done and in varied fields.
Internships are useful, to be sure. But I’ve found that there’s a sweet spot to how many you should have: no more than three. Here’s why?
? With too many internships on your platter, you may leave the recruiter wondering why nobody offered you a full-time role after the internship.
?You are signaling that you don’t have clarity on what you want to do
?You are overqualified for an entry-level job
?You have kept your academics at stake with no time left for classroom studies
?You aren’t choosing to only do meaningful internships
