3 things you must never say during your job interview! – Part 1

?‍♀️Don’t express regrets about your past

When your interview is going great, you are comfortable and the conversation is friendly it’s extremely easy to slip into an Open Mode and that’s not a good thing. Never tell an interviewer “Looking back, I should have not taken this subject in my masters” or “I quit that job after only six months because I underestimated my abilities.” You have nothing to apologize for in your past, all failures are learnings, as long as you got the learning. Your past is brilliant and perfect, but you have to see that before anyone else will.

?‍♀️Don’t speak about your unsuccessful job hunting past

Avoid telling the interviewer that you’ve been job hunting for a long time and haven’t gotten interviews or found job roles that fit or your job search trials. The interviewer doesn’t need to know how well or not-so-well your job search is going.

?‍♀️Don’t boast that “I could do this job in my sleep”

Saying that “I could do this job in my sleep” or “I’ve done things like this a million times before.” Even if it’s true and you are super confident in your ability to do the job, it’s more credible for you to tell a story about a time when you solved a similar problem or rocked a similar position than to say simply say “I can do this job!” Anybody can say that and doesn’t add to your credibility.
