Common rejection parameters are if:
??If your location and the job location are not the same. If you are applying for outstation jobs, be clear in mentioning that you are willing to relocate on the resume & cover letter.
?? If your resume is lengthy. Trust me HR gets loads of resumes and if you’re going to make it look like a novel, it will surely be ignored. Stick to 1 or 2 pages max.
?? If your resume has grammatical errors. Your inability to understand and communicate clearly is evident in your homophone errors, the use of apostrophes in plural words, incorrect capitalization, and incorrect tenses.
?? If your resume has a confusing flow. If it is not structured and has no logical sections well formatted you will appear unorganized and messy.
?? If it is a generic resume. It is the first to be trashed as it is literally not a match and shows that you are spamming. Being underqualified generally isn’t a deal-breaker, but a lack of effort is.
?? If it contains vague clichés. Too many hardworking, loyal, dedicated, team player, etc is a spoiler. Instead, demonstrate them while explaining an accomplishment.
?? If you are a Job Hopper. Seeing that you have many jobs in a short period of time is enough to elevate a recruiter’s heart rate and junk your resume. Put only relevant work experience out there
?? If you are listing your day-to-day job duties with no accomplishments, no metrics also lead to rejection.
