DISPLAY YOUR IMPACT AT WORK ON YOUR RESUME

The job descriptions employers write for hiring show that they are attempting to solve an existing organization’s problem and are seeking the help of a person to accomplish those certain tasks.

When reading your resume, the recruiter will be looking for evidence of your ability to solve that specific problem or do that specific activity.

The following are great ways to draw the reader’s attention to this:

🍁 Rather than just listing your duties in each role, emphasize the contribution you made in each.

🍁 Use examples to illustrate your accomplishments and strengths.

🍁 Identifying your greatest achievement, no matter how big or small, for each role, and focusing on that.

🍁 Remember that the reader wants to know what you can do and needs to see concrete examples.

🍁 Update each entry in your employment history to communicate the quantifiable value you contributed during that time.

🍁 Utilize action-verbs that emphasize what you achieved and the results you saw during each role to reinforce your perceived value in the reader’s mind.
