RECRUITERS DON’T WANT TO SEE THESE RESUME MISTAKES

Here are some resume mistakes that recruiters don’t want to see on your resume:

➡️They do not want to see your life history; only include relevant information.

➡️They do not like messy, untidy resumes; use a format that is simple, clear, and concise to make it easy for them to find what they are looking for.

➡️ They do not want to see your photo; using an image will violate their anti-discrimination policy.

➡️They do not want to read vague objective statements; instead, focus on your experience and skills that will help you land the job.

➡️They do not want to read irrelevant personal information like your parent’s names, marital status, etc., because they do not add value to your skillset. Instead, mention an interest or two.

➡️They do not want to see skills that everyone else has; Excel and MS Office are not unique skills.

➡️ They do not want to look at poorly maintained and empty LinkedIn profiles; yes, two-thirds of recruiters use LinkedIn profiles to filter candidates.

➡️ They do not want resumes written in the first person; instead start the sentence with an action word instead of I am responsible for… or handled/managed…

➡️ They do not care about your duties; instead, they want to know your performance; how you increased revenue, cut costs, or increased productivity.

➡️They do not need to see your work email address or cute email ID; always leave a personal email address with your real name.

➡️ They do not require a one-size-fits-all resume; keep in mind that each recruiter looks for a resume that matches their company profile and the skillset for the job.

➡️ They do not require Word’s header or footer; most ATS cannot read this information, so your resume ends up omitting important information.

Pay attention to these resume mistakes to avoid disappointment.
