LEADERSHIP STRENGTHS THAT A C-SUITE RESUME SHOULD HIGHLIGHT

Knowing your leadership strengths is important but taking action to counter your shortcomings can make all the difference.

There were 3 key personality archetypes foundational to a leader:

⚡THE VISIONARY – Every innovation begins with a big idea, and this is where the visionary leader comes into play.

⚡ THE EXECUTOR – Better known as the person who gets stuff done, executors are the folks with their noses to the grindstone, churning out task after task to keep everyday operations going smoothly.

⚡ THE PROCESSOR- An individual who processes information thoroughly and applies it in a way that enables everyone to get things done.

It’s practically impossible to be great at everything, which is why you must take the time to be radically introspective and honest with yourself to identify your strengths.

So first ask yourself “What role do you serve in your company?” I’m not talking about your title or where you fit into the hierarchy or org chart, but rather, how is your role based on your natural strengths and weaknesses as a leader. Go beyond your technical know-how and hard skills although, those certainly factor in, how you naturally approach any given endeavour.  Determine your leadership archetype with self-reflection.

Then, on your resume, elaborate these skills with your accomplishments so that the potential employer knows what leadership archetype they need to achieve their organizational goals.

As a leader and career success depends on understanding your style as well as articulating it on your personal branding/marketing documents such as resume, cover letter, and LinkedIn profile.
